Crib For Sale

We are done having babies, so we are selling the crib. It's a certified Bassett crib that can turn into a toddler bed and then the back can be used for a full sized headboard so it can grow with your child. We already had twin sized beds and don't have room to store it. I have the mattress (which has always had a waterproof cover on it) and a set of girl bedding to go with it. All together I am asking $175. Email me if you are interested.

Bella's Dance Class

Took my camera to dance class today. Played around a little with some different angles. As always, I have a great time with my camera in hand. It's such a neat toy! And thanks to my friend, I didn't have to take Charlotte along. She doesn't like me paying attention to anything but her so she makes it impossible for me to shoot when she's around.

Tulips

By far my favorite flower is the tulip. It is one thing I love about living in a cold climate. They will come up, eventually......a little later than I would like, but they come up nonetheless. My husband must have remembered as he brought me home six pink tulips for Valentine's Day - vote one for husband of the year!!!! They bloomed just perfectly. I nearly missed my window to capture these beautiful flowers as they are almost done. Keep in mind I am not a specialist in macro photography. This was more a lesson in light for me. Regardless of the technical imperfections, I love them anyway. Hope they brighten your day as they did mine.

Daddy Daughter Dance

There are some really fabulous things about living in a small town. This small town happens to have a great Parks and Rec department. We've taken swimming lessons, played soccer, attempted a gymnastics class and that is only a small fraction of what they have to offer. This latest adventure was the Daddy Daughter Dance. Bella was very shy about asking Chris but she really wanted to go. So after accepting her invitation, the date was on!!!!! The two weeks seemed like an eternity. That night we took a bath, washed, dried and curled her hair, wore hose and high heels, and she even got a corsage of three little pink roses. It was indeed one of the sweetest moments of the week. And then she asked "How are we getting there mum?" To which I replied "In the van sweetie." And then it came - "What????? No Limo!!!!" I had to chuckle. I don't know where she even got the notion that limos existed. Perhaps one of her Disney shows. But we certainly don't travel in them. So Chris and Bella went off on their date while I put the younger two to bed and wrapped valentine gifts. So here are a couple of images from their date. It was so cool to see her excitement. And so neat to see her Daddy's pride.

Kids Skating @ Twin Valley Youth Hockey

I can't say enough good stuff about this organization. Twin Valley Youth Hockey is just amazing. Our kids are about to complete their second year in the learn to skate program. It has been an incredible experience. One of the best values around. For $50 (plus the cost of equipment) per season, they have been able to attend class every Saturday morning since November. They have received an hours worth of instruction from on average four instructors each week. The instructors have been caring, supportive and extremely helpful. It's been a great thing for us. The kids can now skate confidently and certainly much better than we ever thought in such a short amount of time. So a big thank you goes out to all the coaches and volunteers that work so hard to provide our youth with such high class hockey experiences.

Kristin's Handywork

I just had to post these images. As you all know, this past Friday was Bella's birthday. She got some amazing gifts, in addition to having fun with some of our friends. One of my girlfriends is an amazingly gifted crafter. She can knit, crochet and do anything else with yarn you can imagine. She made these items for Bella - the rose poncho, the little purse and the scarf for her birthday this year. Last year she gave Bella the amazing striped hat. We are so blessed. Thank you so much Kristin. We also hear some other items are in the works for Charlotte's birthday- ooo ooo ooo - can't wait to see those. :)

All About Bella Week

So tomorrow my first born turns 6. Wow! Time sure has past quickly. We are having a Bella day tomorrow. But who am I kidding, it's been a Bella week! She has been looking forward to it since the Christmas presents were unwrapped. It's been a long month and a bit that's for sure. Will start with present opening super early as Daddy has to report in to the office for weight training in the wee hours of the morning. So guess I'd better turn in early tonight. Oops too late!

We went bowling with a couple of Bella's little friends on Tuesday since that's the only day the alley is open during the day. It was a hoot. Sorry for the Bella overload these past few weeks. Never fear - next month is Charlotte's birthday! ;)
Can certainly tell she's mine - as evident by the first image of her having hit her leg with the bowling ball that knocked her to the floor. She definitely inherited my grace!

Bella Snow

We have had a lot of snow this year. Last week we had a snow storm that left us with a foot of the powdery stuff. It leaves us with a lot of work to do but it also gives us a lot of opportunity to play. We've been out in it a lot. It gets so high it makes it very difficult for the kids to even move around in it. But nevertheless, they have fun. And wouldn't it be great to have 6 year old skin again, no blemishes, wrinkles or unsightly marks. Such purity!
