This little guy LOVES trains -I mean LOVES them. Mum had suggested that we try some tracks as her boy loves the whole notion of trains. It was a pleasant surprise to find some rail cars down there. We had all kinds of fun pretending to fix the train. He was just as full as energy like most 7 year olds so we were all over the place playing and creating stories. The best way to capture kids, I find, is to be in spots that make them happy. Yes, we got dirty and yes there were some nasties down there (don't get me started on the pretty narrow vocabulary of some passer-bys who obviously had no respect for themselves or the fact that there was a 7 year old in our presence) but all in all we had a great time. Lovely memories for a lovely family.
This little guy just blew me right away. Rarely, and I mean RARELY does a baby sleep through the entire session. He maybe squawked twice for about 2 seconds. Not only did he sleep like a champ, the baby has flawless skin. Usually babies have a few bumps, lumps and bruises but not this little guy. Perfection that's for sure. I have been itching to get outdoors with a baby all summer and this little guy was a great sport. Unfortunately it's turned a little chilly here in NH so we had to keep him swaddled up but we were indeed able to go out.
This young man plays on the defensive line for Steven's Football team. They have high hopes for their season this year and I hope they achieve them. First game is Sept 2nd - just around the corner. It's hard to believe school is starting next week. Good Luck for the season Matt. We hope to get out and see a game this year. Thanks for being such a good sport today. We dodged a pretty severe storm to get this session in. Good thing we both had pretty flexible schedules.
Left the house the day of their shoot under a big fog - got to Lake Sunapee Harbor and we had blazing sunlight which often makes for very harsh portrait lighting. So I owe a huge thanks to the big paddle cruiser to the right of the dock as it gave us some shade to shoot in. That was a big lifesaver! I must say that Mum totally rocked the outfits for this shoot. I can't imagine dad was too fired up about the lavender (we'll call it blue/grey for now) but he was a great sport and boy was it a good choice. The colors look amazing amidst the blue/greens of the lake. Well done Regan. Super cute family - and such wonderful kiddos. It's so fun to be surrounded by so much energy.
