Super fun girl, all kinds of musical inspiration, even a vintage taxi cab to play with. Who could ask for anything better? Oh, and did I mention already how I wanted to just steal her hair. Seriously, those curls were just amazing. Sounds kind of stalkerish I know but a girl (with straight hair) can dream can't she?

The B Family
Something Cool!
Had the wonderful chance to work with this great designer this past week. She had a call out for some images from photographers to use their images to showcase her cool designs. So I sent her my link and bam!!!!! She liked my images enough to want to use them. So check this link out and see Baby Wes and Baby Kase in all their glory. I have such wonderful clients with such incredibly beautiful children.
Oh Snap Boutique! Her templates are just so darn cute!

The Maki Family
These guys are in the fight of their lives. And even still, are such a source of strength, courage and inspiration to not only the residents of Claremont but the surrounding communities as well. The dad, Adam has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. And while this aggressive form of cancer is threatening not only his health but the family as they know it, he remains a solid, uplifting person demonstrating the most amazing grace and gratitude I have seen to date. Where does he get it from? I wonder about this every day. How does one person approach life like this when it appears to be letting him down? I just don't know. I have been so blessed to be able to capture their family this week. I got an entire hour and a half with them all to myself. And I got to soak up some of that love they have for each other and witness some of the courage they seem to have oozing out of every pour of their skin. I am just amazed.
I don't really know who reads this blog. There are ways to track the statistics but life is so busy for me that I rarely have time to figure it out or keep an eye on it. I do know that some people read it cause from time to time I run into someone who says they do. So if you're out there, and you feel so inclined to make a donation to help this amazing family cope with some of the financial stress of this situation, I am leaving the official "fund" information below. And please know that they are incredibly grateful for your gift, as am I. You may send donations to:
The Adam Maki Family Fund
Claremont Savings Bank
PO Box 1600
Claremont, NH 03743
If money is not something you can send right now, please pray and send some positive thoughts their way. Every little bit helps. And they feel it!
Before moving to NH, I really didn't get why they referred to it as New England - well on this particular day I figured it out - at least this is my impression of it. And I must say it's because of this scenery. This is what I picture when I think of England. I have no idea if it's true, but this is what comes to mind for me - we just needed some sheep!
Two of the family's favorite things to do together have been hula hooping and bike riding.
Not only did they start an anual bike race through Moody park, they helped carve out trails throughout the park for hikers and cross country runners. Told you they were incredible didn't I?
So please pray and then pray some more.

The C-K Family
This family was so much fun. I simply just have the best families to work with. It's just fantastic. We were all hopping pretty quickly for this session. One of the reasons I like to shoot at two different locations is because not all locations are pre-approved by the family members - particularly the little ones. So sometimes they like a spot and sometimes they don't. It was one of those days today. And I am so grateful to have permission from some great Claremont residents with some great properties to mix things up from time to time.
My favorite shot of the day!

The G Family
Had a fabulous time shooting with this adorable family yesterday. We totally lucked out with the weather and this little guy was such a trooper. It was still a little on the chilly side but awesome for New Hampshire this time of the year. The weather gods were smiling on us. Sunapee Harbor was such a great place to shoot. So many options. I am so glad they picked this spot. Enjoy your preview guys.

The Extended S and C Families
I love shooting for this family - they certainly are some of my favorite people. This particular day they had several family members in town visiting so we got the whole group together for some portraits. And we ended up with some cloud cover just in time. Thank goodness! So here are just a few from our session.
And in just a couple of weeks I get to shoot this family for a full session. Can't wait!

The H Family
These guys came up all the way from Conneticut to see me - well partly anyway!!!!! I guess they had some friends in town to visit too but it's a nice thought for a second. They're totally in love with each other.....it's so much easier to shoot families that share that affection and aren't afraid to show it in front of a stranger!!! Way to go guys - you totally rocked your session.
