This girl is just a gem. You've probably seen her up here numerous times. I just can't get enough of her. So when she asked me to give her a photo shoot for her 12th birthday of course I said yes. I love her, I love her family and I especially love to do portraits with her. She's a natural in front of the camera and is game for anything. So when I need to try things out she's the first one I call! She's even been my assistant a few times on different shoots. The ultra special thing is that she shares her birthday with my son Peyton. And her younger sister shares her birthday with my oldest daughter Bella. Kind of freaky but we love it. So we get to have double birthdays twice a year. So happy birthday M. I love you!

Senior Session
I've fallen in love with senior sessions this year. I've had a great group of seniors come to me for their images this year and I've really enjoyed every session. Tonight's was no exception. E came with her mum who was equally fun! Thanks guys for such a fun time. Hope you enjoy just a few of the images. Many more to come.....it's gonna be tough!
Favorite Image
So I finally got to speak to Alyssa about posting my favorite image from the wedding. I don't like to just assume that people are OK with just any images of themselves on the blog, especially since this one involves a little more skin, and is obviously an intimate moment getting ready to wed the love of her life. I just love this one. I just can't decide between the color or the black and white. And that's definitely a sign of a favorite for me. I'm usually pretty decisive about color vs black and white. But this time, I just can't pick. So here's both.
And then there's Milk and Honey. I think I love this one even more.

The Ceremony
Josh & Alyssa - Married Part 2!
There's nothing like low light grainy black and whites to set the mood. Two of my favorites, well almost, I would need to get the bride's permission to post my absolute favorite and since she is on her honeymoon, I'll post another one. Always wonderful to see the look on a Father's face when he sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. It never fails, gets them (and me) every time. It's so amazing to be there documenting that, through my tears as well.
And the shoes, the all important shoes. These were gorgeous!
A somewhat slimmed down version of the bridal party - missing three of it's members due to an accident after the rehearsal dinner. Please pray for strength and healing.
And the flowers were all arranged by the mother of the groom. Deb, you did a fantastic job. I hope you are now able to get some rest.

Josh & Alyssa - Married!
This weekend marked the incredibly divine uniting of two of the most wonderful people and families I've had the honor of capturing. Josh and Alyssa have been a couple now for 13 years so this special day was much anticipated by many. So much love, so much generosity and so much support and warmth just radiated from the entire community who gathered to celebrate with them. Unfortunately the day began with three members of their close family being admitted to various hospitals in the upper valley. Thankfully, all will be OK but there was much concern when I arrived early in the day. By the end of the day, two of the three had been released from the hospital and one fantastic Grandma actually made it to the wedding in time!!!! Now that's incredible. It's so amazing when you are hired as a photographer and you can totally see yourself being friends with the people you are documenting. I consider myself truly blessed to be a part of the beginning of their married life together. These guys were just so gracious, not to mention gorgeous. So much thought and so much planning went into every detail of the day. A special shout out goes to the "Wonder Pets" who worked tirelessly to get the tent ready in time. Well done. It was truly a team effort and one which the family will treasure forever. I will share more images of the details in posts to follow, but for now I wanted to share a few images of Josh and Alyssa.....simply stunning and so in love!

Senior Session #2
This was my second senior session from yesterday. Miss M is such an incredible young lady and just a joy to be around. She was a complete natural with posing, barely needing any direction at all. I hope you have a great senior year M. Thanks for choosing me to document your senior portraits. Enjoy the preview. I had trouble stopping myself as there were so many good ones. Well done, you did great!

Senior Session #1
I had two senior sessions today and boy were they fun. This is the first, we had it at 7am this morning due to busy schedules. We found all kinds of interesting things in the alleyway this morning but managed to shoot around them without incident. This guy has the coolest name, and who's little sister looks this gorgeous at 14!!!! Seriously, no one I knew came even close to this at 14! Even more importantly though, these were two adolescents that totally restore your belief in today's youth. They're gonna do great things on this earth. Well done mum and dad. Enjoy your sneak peek guys, I know you're on vacation but don't know if you have Internet or not. Hope you can check them out.
See what I mean, simply stunning!

Little Madelyn
This little girl is one of the sweetest little things ever. She is only 3 weeks younger than my Charlotte and had her mummy and daddy not moved away I am sure they would have been good friends. She has the longest hair, especially when you consider that it takes my girls five years at least to grow hair this long. She was such a trooper throughout our session. Even when she had had enough she was super cute.
There's something about this angle that really captures my heart. It's happened with all my children and continues to be a driving force in my sessions. Just love it!
And a special time with mummy and daddy - I just love the little sister's foot poking out too!

Back from Vacation
Wow, what a great week we had. Drove over 2000 miles, saw many great friends and family members along with some exotic animals, including a Zonkey, and yes, that's a cross between a zebra and a donkey (picture of him to come later!). Had three great family sessions while in my college town with families very close to my heart. I am so honored to have had the privilege of documenting this stage in each of their family's lives. It was such an amazing experience. Since returning home I have totally made over our kitchen (may post some images of that later) and I just love it. Busy, busy, busy, all in an attempt to get things done by the time Chris returns to work on Monday. Two senior sessions tomorrow night so will be busy editing images all next week. Fun stuff! Here's a peek at the three families from last week. More to come later guys!
